Booking System Development in Montreal
If your business runs on appointments, your booking system is your front door. Clinics, salons, spas, restaurants, repair shops and consultants all lose revenue when scheduling depends on phone tag and a shared calendar. A custom booking system lets clients book, pay and reschedule on their own, while your team sees a schedule that matches reality.
DaniMaster builds booking systems for small and mid-size businesses in Montreal and across Canada. We handle the parts generic tools get wrong: Quebec privacy rules, French and English interfaces, deposits by card or Interac e-Transfer, and the specific rules of your trade.
What we build
Booking software sounds simple until you list what it has to handle. Here is what we build.
- Bilingual online booking pages that work on a phone and plug into your existing website
- Availability engines: staff, rooms, equipment, buffer times, travel time and holiday rules
- Deposits and payments through Stripe, PayPal or Interac e-Transfer, with no-show and cancellation policies enforced automatically
- Reminders by SMS and email in the client's language
- Staff and admin consoles: daily views, drag-and-drop rescheduling, client history and notes
- Healthcare software development: appointment flows for clinics and allied health practices, intake forms, consent capture, practitioner-specific rules and Law 25 compliant handling of health information
- Integrations with Google Calendar, Outlook, your accounting system, Odoo or ERPNext
We build with PHP or Node.js on PostgreSQL or MariaDB, hosted in Canada when you ask. If you already use a booking tool and only need a custom piece, we can build just that.
How we work
A booking system encodes your business rules. Getting those rules right is most of the work.
1. Discovery. We learn from the people who manage your schedule how long each service really takes, which staff can do what and what happens on a busy Saturday. One or two sessions, in Montreal or by video. 2. Design. We produce clickable mockups of the client booking flow and the staff console, in French and English. 3. Build. We develop in short cycles and show you working software every week or two. 4. Test. We load a realistic month of appointments and run the hard cases: double bookings, a therapist calling in sick, a refund on a deposit. 5. Launch. We import your existing appointments and client list, train your staff and go live on a quiet day. 6. Support. We watch booking patterns for the first weeks and tune reminders, buffers and availability rules.
You get documentation, admin training and a single contact who knows your system.
Proof: matching and payment flows we already run
We run matching and request flows at scale on our own platform.
BizLocal, our Quebec and Canada business directory, lists about 49,000 businesses in 336 categories, including hotels, restaurants, spas, salons, clinics and contractors. Its quote-request funnel takes a consumer's request, filters out spam and test submissions, and routes each real request to up to 10 matching businesses. Partners are billed referral fees on the leads they receive, and everything syncs to Odoo CRM. That is the same problem a booking engine solves: matching demand to the right provider and billing for the result.
FacilInvoice, our invoicing SaaS, gives us production experience with payments. Clients pay by card, PayPal, bank transfer or Interac e-Transfer, and e-Transfer payments are reconciled automatically. The same payment flows power deposits and no-show fees in the booking systems we build.
ClearCall, our accessible calling app with live captions, taught us to design interfaces for users with different needs.
What it costs and how long it takes
Booking systems range from a simple page to a full practice platform. Ranges in Canadian dollars:
- Custom booking page with availability rules, reminders and online payment, connected to your existing site: $6,000 to $15,000, three to six weeks
- Full booking system with staff console, multi-service and multi-staff scheduling, deposits, waitlists and reporting: $15,000 to $40,000, six to twelve weeks
- Healthcare or clinic system with intake forms, consent management, practitioner rules and Law 25 compliant data handling: $25,000 to $70,000, ten to twenty weeks
- Custom add-on to an existing booking tool, such as a deposit flow or ERP sync: $3,000 to $10,000
- Hosting, monitoring and support: $200 to $1,000 per month
Prices depend on scope. Cost drivers are complex availability rules, integrations and regulatory requirements. We quote a fixed price after discovery. We earn more trust by pointing a Montreal salon to the right $40-a-month product than by building something it does not need.
Why build it with a Montreal team
Booking systems collect names, phone numbers, health information and payment details. A local partner matters more here than for most software.
Bilingual interfaces. Your clients book in French or English, and reminders arrive in the language they chose. We write both versions ourselves.
Law 25 compliance. Quebec's privacy law applies to every booking record you keep, and health information carries extra obligations. We design consent capture, access controls, retention rules and breach procedures into the system rather than bolting them on later.
Canadian hosting. On request, your booking data and client records stay on servers in Canada. Clinics and professional practices often require this.
Payment methods Canadians use. Interac e-Transfer deposits, Canadian card processing and GST, HST and QST handled correctly.
Eastern time zone. Your busiest booking hours are our working hours.
A Montreal company you can meet. We run public platforms serving Quebec businesses, and we are accountable for what we build.
Who this is for
We build booking systems for businesses whose scheduling rules have outgrown generic tools. A few common situations:
- A clinic or allied health practice in Montreal. Physiotherapists, psychologists, dentists and massage therapists need practitioner-specific availability, intake forms, consent and strict privacy.
- A spa, salon or wellness studio. Multiple staff, rooms and equipment have to line up. Clients expect to book from their phone at 11 p.m.
- A restaurant or hotel. Table and room availability, group bookings, deposits for large parties and integration with your point of sale.
- A mobile trades or home services company. Appointments depend on travel time between addresses, technician skills and parts availability. A booking engine that knows your service area fills the day.
If your team still manages the schedule by phone and a shared calendar, we can change that in a few weeks. Start with a free 30-minute call and we will map your booking rules together.

Can a custom booking system connect to the booking tool we already use?
Yes. Many clients keep a tool their staff know and add custom pieces around it: a deposit flow, a sync with Odoo or accounting software, or a bilingual booking page. We check whether the existing tool has an API first.
How do you handle no-shows and late cancellations?
The system enforces your policy automatically. Typical setups take a card or Interac e-Transfer deposit at booking, send reminders at 48 and 24 hours, let clients cancel or reschedule before a cut-off, and charge a fee after it. Rules can vary by service, and staff can override them.
What does Law 25 mean for a clinic booking system?
Quebec's privacy law requires consent for collecting personal information, a stated purpose, limited access, defined retention periods and breach notification. Health information is treated as sensitive. We build consent screens, role-based staff access, audit logs, encrypted storage and a way to export or delete a patient's data on request.
Can clients book without creating an account?
Yes, and for most businesses we recommend it. Guest booking with an email or phone confirmation removes the biggest point of friction. Returning clients can be recognized by phone number or a secure link. Accounts make sense for memberships, packages or recurring sessions.
